Dear Colleague,

After the success of the congress organized in Saas Fee, Switzerland by Professor Rudolf Hausler, the International Board of the Politzer Society gives us the privilege to organize the second International Conference on Otosclerosis and Stapes Surgery in Biarritz.

We believe that 2008 will be an excellent time to bring many new important topics in these areas, genetic, molecular biology, surgical techniques. A specific session will be dedicated on alternative treatments, medical, hearing aids and implantable devices.

We hope to achieve some consensus that might be useful for all ENT specialists around the world.

In the South West of France, on the Atlantic coast, Biarritz offers a wide range of leisure activities, close to the most modern centers of expertise in science and technology. A city of contrasts and colours, between the sea, the mountains and the villages of the Basque Country.
